Seeing and Learning

My students need an LCD projector to enhance learning and engagement.

I teach 4th grade students with ADHD, emotional/behavior disorders, specific learning disability, autism, and mild intellectual disability.

Many of my students are visual learners and really benefit from introductions to new material that include technology. My school has 2 LCD projectors that can be checked out on a day by day basis. It would be amazing and very beneficial to have a projector in our classroom at all times. I have mostly boys who are interested and excited about video games and movies, so an LCD projector coupled with slide shows, short videos, jeopardy games, etc. can really engage them and get them excited about learning!

Having an LCD projector in the classroom will allow for my students to get excited about learning. Slide shows can be made very fun and interactive. Students with special needs must have many different forms of learning to reinforce and repeat what has been taught. Adding a projector to our classroom will allow for visual learning to be added consistently to our auditory and kinesthetic learning that is already taking place.

You will truly make it possible for my students with ADHD, emotional/behavior disabilities, specific learning disabilities, autism, and mild intellectual disabilities to achieve. A projector will allow them to experience success and fun during learning. Your help will ensure that this happens.
