Many of the students that attend my school come from families that struggle financially. Studies prove that children who are read to in the home become better readers. However many of our families do not have the resources to buy books for their child. I would like to purchase 10 sets of books that will be able to provide 4-5 books for each student. The students will then be allowed to take the books home with them to keep. These books will provide fluency and vocabulary practice to support each student's learning at their home. Your support of this project will help ensure that all children are given the opportunity to become readers! My students need 4-5 books each to read at home to increase literacy.
