"Help make readers for life! I teach Kindergarten in a low economic school public school.

Many of the students that attend my school come from families that struggle financially. Studies prove that children who are read to in the home become better readers. However many of our families do not have the resources to buy books for their child.

I would like to purchase 10 sets of books that will be able to provide 4-5 books for each student. The students will then be allowed to take the books home with them to keep. These books will provide fluency and vocabulary practice to support each student's learning at their home.

Your support of this project will help ensure that all children are given the opportunity to become readers!

My students need 4-5 books each to read at home to increase literacy. The cost of this proposal is $152, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Kerren, Marie, Granddaughter, Erin and JayLene,

Thank you so much for supporting the Books for Home project!  You have made a significant impact in the lives of my students and their success as life long readers.  Many of the students that I teach would not otherwise be able to share the gift of reading with their families.  Providing these families with books is an enormous gift that will carry over for a long time to come.  You have made a difference and we cannot thank you enough.

With gratitude,
Mrs. K.
