Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help 25 inner city students to develop better organizational skills! I teach kindergarten to 25 of the most eager ESL students in Massachusetts. The majority if my students come from Central and South America, all speaking Spanish in their homes. Almost all of them are either the first or second generation in their families to attend school in the United States.

My students have been saying "Teacher, where do I put this? It doesn't fit in my pencil box." This makes me long for a better organizational system for my students to store their supplies within the classroom. Since Kindergartners are for the most part new to school, it is very important to help them learn what it takes to be successful throughout their future of schooling. This being said, organization is crucial for their future success.

The variety of organizational supplies in this project will help students to have more space to put their supplies within the tightly packed classroom. The seat back organizers will enable students to put their supplies along with space to store a book and dry erase board for them to use if they finish early from an activity.

Your contribution to my project will ensure that 25 Kindergarten students will have a place to organize their materials, which will in turn immensely help the classroom to run more smoothly. Your donation will help students to have a life-long appreciation for organization and learning, which will help them to succeed in the world!
