MORE "I am bilingual kindergarten teacher in a low income community where all the students get free lunch. I have 30 enthusiastic and beautiful students, who love to read and have fun searching for books.
Unfortunately after my school caught on fire two years ago, losing it all, I started a new collection of books which have been living in cardboard boxes due to lack of book shelves. My school district is in grave financial trouble and not able to provide the necessary materials. I would love to get the big book collection about shapes to provide my students with many examples that will enhance their understanding of the real world around them. At the same time, I am in great need of a good way to organize and display the books, which will save the students’ time and frustration when searching. Dear donor, please consider funding my proposal and help my students and me get rid of the cardboard boxes, and create a library center instead. My students come from very low income families, but they deserve to have a safer and nicer place to read their favorite books. I told my students that I was going to write this proposal, and they were ecstatic about the idea that there are people like you willing to make a big difference in their lives, creating a reading place inside their classroom. HIDE My students need an "I Know My Shapes!" Big Books Series, a double-sided storage library and a big book display unit.
The cost of this proposal is $465, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment Mrs. W.'s Classroom:
