Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I have 15 Kindergrtners in my classroom. Many of them move from school to school while their parents look for work. 100% of my students are on free and reduced lunch so they really need as much support at home that I can give them.

90% of my students do not speak English and do not have books at home to read with their families. They love to read and love to borrow my books, but I do not have enough to send home with them.

I hope to provide my students with books and materials that they can check out of my classroom library to take home and read with their parents nightly. This is my goal to help encourage the families to spend time together and read.

Your donation will help bring families together and spend some quality time away from the TV, and video games. Donating to this project will help my students have books in their home to be able to share with their families.
