My students need 5 digital cameras, with rechargeable batteries and chargers.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Youel's classroom raised $689

Calling all 21st century learners! I teach 2nd grade in a rural county in Virginia. In order to inspire my technology-savvy students, I am in need of some technology resource help!
Our class is very active with our learning. We like to be very "hands-on." So, when we want to document a project, capture a moment on film, or help to create a project, it would be nice to be able to use a digital camera.
If we had 5 cameras to begin with, I think we could convince our school to possibly fund a few more. While we do like to share, 5 cameras among 23 students makes it hard. We want to show what we can do and what we can create! In order to become more global, we want to reach out to other students, other schools, other places. We can do this, while documenting our community and our interests. These photos can be downloaded into programs that will help enhance our learning and communication even more with all the free Web 2.0 tools out there!
Your help will ensure that my students truly become 21st century learners. Not only will they be able to share their community and ideas with the world, they'll be able to learn about their place in the world as well! With your help, we can learn life skills as well as have a little fun with our learning. Imagine - no more boring worksheets. Instead, taking pictures and creating presentations to be shared with our grade level, with partner schools around the country and around the world! All we need is your help to get started!
