My students need 180 (class pack) Easy-Stick Glitter Shapes, 50 Sheets of Rainbow Scratch Paper, 4 Rolls of Craft Tape (bright color), 50 writing composition notebooks, 4 Rolls of Craft Tape (pastel color), 1 Craft Tape Center Dispenser, need 1 Pound of Assorted Decor Paper, 1 Gallon of Mod Podge/Gloss, 1 Quart of Mod Podge, and 8 Crinkle-Cut Craft Scissors.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Sending out an S.O.S., departmentalized fourth graders are in crucial need of composition notebooks that will allow them to venture off into the world of "Writers Craft". My fourth graders are ready to escape the cold wilderness and enter a realm where their imagined thoughts become the stepping stones to a published masterpiece. First, we will personalize each notebook with family pictures, magazine cut outs, scrap booking materials, and all the candy coded materials that amazing donors like you are able to provide. Then each student will use their composition notebook to collect their writing pieces and communicate with me areas that need to be fostered. Imagine giving a child the opportunity to open a world of inquiry and discovery. These composition notebooks will be a treasure chest for my fourth graders, after they read books from authors like Shel Silverstein, where his poem "Invitation" sparks an idea to generate poetry or to even allow creative minds to write and direct skits. Just the idea makes Steven Spielberg quiver at the thought of the competition. Not only that but when these writers make it to the big screen or on the Best Sellers list, they will remember that their burning passion for writing was ignited with your help.
