My students need supplies to set up a kitchen including a mixer, blender, bakeware, cookware, pots, pans, oven mitts, pot holders, a food processor, can openers, and tongs.

Our school services nearly 400 students who come from a high poverty area. Most students receive free or reduced school lunch each day and we have a high special education population.

Part of our school mission is to ensure that every student who walks through our doors receives the education and support they need to be productive members of society. This includes our life skills students, however supplies for these programs are very limited.

We are hoping to implement a life skills program that incorporates every day living into the classroom. We'd like to set up a functional kitchen in the classroom where students can learn to be responsible for using an oven, dishwasher, mixer, etc. These skills are imperative for our students to master so that they can work towards being self sufficient at home.

These children deserve every opportunity any other student would have, regardless of their disabilities. These incredible kitchen appliances, bakeware, and assorted accessories will all be put to good use as our students learn to mix, measure and cook simple dishes independently.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
