Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach third grade in a low-income urban setting. Many of the children I teach do not have access to a computer at home, so the only opportunity they have to work on a computer is at school

The problem is our school had a fire over a year ago, and all of the school's supplies were lost including the computers in my classroom and our computer lab. Our cash-strapped district has not replaced any of our computers.

A laptop computer would be an excellent tool for my students to become familiar with computers, take reading and math tests through our Accelerated Reader and Math program, and do research in all subjects.

Your help will ensure that my students get every opportunity to use a computer in their daily classes. A laptop computer would be an efficient way for students to maximize time spent learning on a computer.
