Let's create future writers and readers of great literature! I teach all 4th grade subjects in a high poverty school with 50% Native American students.

The majority of my students have not seen a book before their first day of Kindergarten. Because of this, I am always working to find ways to trigger their interest in reading and writing. Research shows that students are more motivated to read and write if they are personally invested. Having a color printer available for the students will allow them to create colorful professional looking books for their own story ideas. This will motivate them to write great stories and read their books to other students. They will be proud to share with each other.

I need a durable printer and the supplies to use it. Our school has a tight budget and our staff of 48 shares four old printers. We don't have funding that allows students to create colored books. Our struggling students need an opportunity to feel the success of creating a professional writing project.

Your funding will make it possible for my students to discover the joy of writing and then reading their own great books. Children are highly motivated to read things written by their peers. YOU could empower them and change their futures through this act of generosity!
