The resources, the video camera and the microphone will help them to record, post on the web, and share their Going Green ideas throughout the school year. It will allow them to start a professional portfolio that they can use to submit to technical schools and colleges for further studies in environment related fields. Using multiple intelligences, the students will coordinate art, music, and science together as they develop a hands-on activity that will showcase them in a positive and a successful way.
Your help will make a difference in the life of a student where the drop out rate is over 50%. It will allow me to actively engaged my students in real life scenarios for the entire school year and beyond. Books can start the process but creating a movie/video is a more exciting process that will keep them engaged in learning for life!
My students need 1 video camera and 1 microphone to help them make videos about environmental issues Going Green.
The cost of this proposal is $491, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and The CIGNA Foundation,
Thank you for your help in allowing my students to make their video portfolios about saving the environment, "Going Green is Mean". My students who have difficulty in expressing themselves came alive with new ideas using advertising and interviews as a means to get their point across. They were able to actively engaged in their own understanding about saving the environment. They will continue to look for ways to get more people involved in this process. Thanks to you, my students are encouraged and want to create more projects using the camera and microphone that you provided in other subject areas.
Currently, our school does not have a budget for some of the necessities and this was a great opportunity to turn the lack of writing materials and books into a great learning experience using technology!
Once again, I want to thank you for your help because without you none of this would have been possible!
With gratitude, Mrs. L.

Dear Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and The CIGNA Foundation,
I am profoundly excited and overwhelmed with joy for your donation to my project, "Going Green is Mean!" I am pleased that you share in my vision for allowing my students to succeed and prepare for the future. The students will use the video camera and microphone to create a video portfolio that will help them show the importance of Going Green to the school and the surrounding community.
Again, I want to thank, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the CIGNA Foundation for allowing this project to become a reality.
Reviewed the project essay and sent follow-up questions if needed.
