Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Mad Scientists are exploring East New York. Help my students enjoy science by helping us use interactive games to reinforce science concepts. My fifth graders are struggling readers that need to use creative ways to learn concepts.

In the past, we have used games in math and social studies to reinforce skills. The students enjoy having the opportunity to play games with each other. Since many of my students don't have a chance to play games at home, these games help my students get along as well.

The Science Quiz game lets us play as a class and the students have fun trying to earn points. The science cards will allow students to work alone during center time. Finally, the rock collection and the jungle game will be interesting to watch my students use throughout the day.

Science is a subject that allows struggling readers to shine. Many hands-on activities are used and students really enjoy being able to create experiments. The materials needed will help my students reinforce their science concepts in a fun way. So help make future scientists!
