I am the technology director for this school/ hospital rehabilitation center. Currently my district is using old government surplus computers, which often freeze.

My students face a major obstacle in that because of their disability, it is difficult for them to take notes, complete research, and complete simple homework assignments.

These netbooks will be used so that students can explore science webinars while in their stretchers, wheelchairs, or hospital beds. It will give them a chance to complete at least some of their work , so that when they return to their home school districts they will not be far behind.

Please help me, help these students. My district continues to suffer from severe financial constraints particularly in these economic times. Many of these students also come from very poor financial households, with limited resources. It is my hope that these students can at least have a chance to become successful.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
