My students are aspiring musicians that meet after school to write, practice, record and perform their own original music. Although I teach special education during school hours, after school I am the director of the new Urban Music Club. The grades of my students range from high school freshman to seniors, and in consonance with the school's philosophy, they consist of both general education and special education students. While each student's talents and abilities are unique, they all share the dream of realizing their music potential, blind of the differences that separate them academically.

We have some equipment, but nothing to amplify the students' voices. They just played a concert and we discovered that the school's PA system does not work! We need a good system that will project their voices above loud guitars and bass-heavy hip-hop beats. We want to produce a quality music concert for the other students at the school, as well as the parents, but we can not until we get this piece of equipment...help!

Once we have a quality PA system then my students can perform without any heartache! It was so disappointing to spend hours setting up equipment, weeks advertising for the show, and months preparing for it, only for their voices to be cut out after 30 seconds and left unheard! With this gear we will be able to put on stellar performances by allowing my students' beautiful voices to be heard above their accompanying instruments.

Please help my students' voices be heard! They have the passion and talent, but can not meet their potential because of faulty equipment! Please don't let our budget crisis impede the dreams of our young musicians and help fund our project today!
