My students are aspiring musicians that meet after school to write, practice, and record their own original music. Although I teach special education during school hours, after school I am the director of the new Urban Music Club. The grades of my students range from high school freshman to seniors, and in consonance with the school's philosophy, they consist of both general education and special education students. While each student's talents and abilities are unique, they all share the dream of realizing their music potential, blind of the differences that separate them academically.
