My neurodivergent students in the elementary school loved and really benefited from all the sensory items provided!! The disco light/ speaker has been a success, as they love to hear background sounds during activities as well dance in Taylor swift songs. The hexagon lights and modeling foam are one of the most things my students have gravitated towards as a grounding activity before the session begins. The carpet is now our hang out spot during our floor time activities. And most of all the printer that's bringing life and color to the activities and stories we are working on! Every single thing on the list has served its purpose. The standing light has been great to turn off the light and take a break in the highschool. It's very soothing for grounding meditation activity at the beginning of the session and during our chat and chew circle time. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for making this happen for me and my students!","fullyFundedDate":1735587560185,"projectUrl":"project/the-sensory-speech-realm/8764552/","projectTitle":"The Sensory Speech Realm","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. May","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6127513"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2100","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":840,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":20,"percentBlack":45,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.6,"schoolId":2100,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Queens High School of Teaching on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Queens High School of Teaching","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/queens-high-school-of-teaching/2100"}
