I teach Biology I, Biology II and AP Biology at a rural high in South Mississippi. My students are grades 9-12 and many have no plans of attending college.

My hope is to create an interest in Science and how it applies directly to the everyday lives of the students so in turn they will crave more knowledge and pursue some type of education beyond high school.

One of my major obstacles in teaching has been to help my students grasp the concept of understanding aspects of Science that they can't actually see. I think this model would benefit my students tremendously in allowing them to see a concept that has previously been too small to grasp.

You can help me to overcome this obstacle. The use of this model will allow me to enhance the learning process in my classroom. This gift will also give my students a sense of hope, letting them know that others care about their education.
