My students need a Canon digital camera so that we can capture the precious moments of Pre-Kindergarten.

"All right Mr. De Mille, I'm ready for my close-up!" Ok, so you're not Mr. De Mille, but the students in my PreK classroom are ready for their close-ups. Close-ups of them in action: acting out the stories that we read in class, in their learning centers, special day activities, and just overall being a 4 year-old.

Teaching in a small rural community, we have a high percentage of low-income families, thus having a low budget. There are no funds for a digital camera in the school's budget.

With a digital camera, I would be able to capture moments of when they were learning something new, creating masterpieces, and during our special day celebrations. I would then be able to share these precious memories with their parents, and with them. I want to be able to create movies and Power Points of the students acting out stories. I would also like to create classroom books with their pictures in them, as well as posters showing the class rules using them as the main subject. I believe children respond to things better when they can be a part of them.
