Make A Kid A Star!!!

My students need 40 starfish, 50 reward star stickers, a director's clapboard, and 30 clam shells in order to create student-made digital storybooks. Creativity is Key!!!

I love giving kids different ways to engage in reading and writing. Many kids don't enjoy reading. These same kids often don't feel like stars. I want to combine the reading and writing process into a digital portfolio that will be kid-made art and writing.

Kids need to feel like stars. With your help kids will feel like stars when they make characters with 50 starfish and 30 clam shells (starfish stands). Students will grade and reward student starfish digital stories. Kids will use digital cameras and the director's clapboard to start each digital portfolio. Starfish, star stickers, clam shell stands, a director's clapboard and a digital camera are all we need to make English Rock!

Any amount you give will allow me to be a better teacher. Kids will decorate starfish in the style of literary characters. Kids will grade each digital starfish and clam stands. Winners will be rewarded with star stickers by their classmates. Finally, kids will take pictures of characters in action.

Thank you for helping me turn our kids into Super Stars. Every dollar you donate will allow me to help every kid love English. We need different ways to engage all kids. Every kid deserves a chance to love English. Thank you for all you do for teachers like me.
