My students need a LCD projector to bring the knowledge available in the digital world alive to their small rural classroom.

I teach 5th grade in an all inclusive classroom. This is a small rural community filled with farms and low income families. School funds are low and technology resources are scarce. Our nearest airport is 6 hours away and we are quite remote.

After obtaining my master's degree in Educational Technology, I have seen first hand how the use of technology brings student learning alive. I have built many websites for student use and my students are unable to use them due to the lack of a projector. Currently we all huddle around my computer to view the lessons.

A laptop projector will enhance students' interests in learning as it brings the knowledge available via the digital world alive. Students now relate to this form of education and I try to teach using the methods designed for the 21 Century learning environment.

Your help will ensure that my students get excited about learning. You could bring the 21st Century teaching methods to our classroom. Subjects come alive such as NASA Space Program, US History using the Smithsonian, National Archives as well as the many virtual field trips. We love watching the zoo cams, and my own subject designed websites and webquests. Forest Management, Fire Science, Water Conservation, and Green Living are all taught via the computer.
