I teach 1st Grade in a challenging college prep charter school in Los Angeles, CA. My students are smart and love to work hard and be challenged.

The economy is on everyone's minds and with the amount of money I spend on my classroom and for my students toner for my printer has been pushed to the back of my mind. But I ignored it for so long that now all my pages are printing out blank!

Many times I find different resources in teaching books or websites and I like them but not completely so I tend to make my own tests, worksheets, and projects. When I make a task for my students on the computer or provide the parents with a report of their students' grades I need to use my classroom printer. As you can imagine, I go through a lot of toner and in these troubling times this can be difficult.

My computer is something that I use everyday whether it be to create a worksheet or project to motivate the students, create an assessment to guide that instruction, or display the assessment data to determine what I will teach next. I cannot use my computer if I do not have a printer to go along with it and that printer will not work without the toner. You will make it possible for me to continue to personalize my instruction for my students by allowing me to continue to create my own computer projects.
