I am an elementary reading intervention teacher. My lessons are based created around phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. My students range from Kindergarten to fifth grade. Our school is a Title 1 school in Indiana. The student population is made up of mostly free and reduced lunch students.

Our reading class is in need of great resources and supplies. Although our reading curriculum comes with reading resources, we are in need of writing resources. Our classroom is a shared room- half storage room and half classroom. Our half of the classroom is also shared with a speech teacher.

Our reading classroom is in need of a portable, organizational, magnetic, marker board cart. As I said, we share a room; therefore, we are in need of making the best of our current space. This cart could house our reading and writing materials. I spend half of the day working with Kindergarten. The Kindergarten groups are in need of lined marker boards and fine tipped markers. We are currently using laminated paper as lined marker boards.

With your help, my Kindergarten students will be able to use dry erase markers on real marker boards. All of my students will be able to use the portable marker board for reading lessons to help them ensure and expand their phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills.
