Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an English Language Acquisition teacher for grades kindergarten through fifth grade. We are in a high-need community. My students want to learn english, but find it challenging when they do not know the words they want to say.

My students have a limited amount of supplies and really have shown an interest in going beyond the normal acquisition for English. They want to be successful people when they leave our school.

The laptop will allow me to go beyond the every day teaching and have them do more difficult lessons with language by me showing them examples. The white boards and markers allow the students to write down questions or answers they may find along our investigation process.

You will make it possible for my students to become the people they envision themselves to be. You will also allow them to be as successful as native speaking students and give them confidence in everything they do.
