I teach first grade in a high-need area. The students rarely are exposed to educational experiences outside of the classroom. There is a lack of materials, especially books.

Books vs. Video Games is the competition I face each day. To my delight my students have fallen in love with nonfiction books and I do not have enough nonfiction books to feed their curiosity.

We need a collection of nonfiction books! My students are learning to love reading and I don't want that momentum to stop. A collection of nonfiction books will continue to challenge their reading and thinking so that they will become better readers.

You will change the future, just imagine kids that would rather read a nonfiction book than play a video game! That is the change we need in America and with your help it is possible.
