Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help my students discover the world! I teach 4th grade at a California school with 90% second language learners and 90% on free or reduced lunch. I love teaching social studies since it excites my students about the world around them. Once I have a large US and World maps on a pull down screen, my students will see all the places we read about and the destinations they can someday explore.

California is facing a very difficult budget situation. Our school district faces a $5 million budget cut next year. With these challenging times, it is more important than ever to provide the best education possible. But budgets are too tight to buy classroom maps.

Providing world maps will not only help my students better understand their social studies materials, but they will be inspired to know there is so much more to see beyond the classroom doors.

With your purchase of these pull down maps, I can readily pull out the resource and teach my students about the world around them. Hopefully, they will be inspired to explore beyond their classroom, school and communities. Thank you for your generous donation!
