Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I have the awesome responsibility to teach 21 great students. Many of the students at my school are on free lunch and are English Language Learners.

Since many of my students come from Mexico, they do not have the background knowledge about America like we do. The are very inquisitive and eager to learn. The other day one of my students asked me what "USA" means. I then decided that I need to teach my students more about America than what I have been. The only problem is I don't have the resources I would like to help me in teaching them.

If I had books, kits, and posters about American symbols, I could start informing my students about the important symbols and landmarks of America and what they mean. My students have the willingness to learn, now all they need is the materials to help them.

By donating to this project you will be helping "teach" my students about our wonderful country and the symbols that are important to America. Please join me in instilling American pride in my students.
