Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach a high school documentary film class called 'history in the making' in a school with students with high needs. The students are juniors and seniors. The resources available to us are limited.

The films that my students complete are truly amazing. Despite the fact that we have limited supplies, the quality of work has been very professional. I do not have any budget to add new equipment or fix broken equipment. The power of video technology to engage the students has been amazing. This camera that I am asking for will allow the students to create films that are not only professional in content but look professional as well.

The camera we are asking for will create the opportunity for the students to produce films with the latest technology. We have had two cameras break in the last year and there are no funds to replace them.

Your help will make it possible for my students to meet the high expectations that are set in this class. Your generosity will send a clear message that what they are doing is important.
