I have wonderful students who come to school an hour before school begins to take AP Chemistry. They are juniors and seniors in a public school and are academically motivated to learn everything that I can teach them! We start early in the morning and often continue after school.

Gas laws are difficult to visualize...sure we have the equations and my students are excellent in math...but what do these equations really mean? The students need to experience what change in pressure, volume, temperature and number of moles of a gas really means. Our school system has little money to spend on school supplies and these gas law experiments are outside our normal range of financial capabilities.

These supplies are basic and critically important to the understanding of gas laws. These supplies will start our project and our "Up, Up and Away" journey into the exploration of gaseous behavior.

Many of my students aspire to medical professions which require the utilization of gas as applied to the human body. They are capable of going to college and pursuing these endeavors...these supplies will give them an excellent foundation in something fundamental to their understanding of life.
