Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

"Putting Science In Motion" I am an early childhood(K-2)Science teacher in a high-need,low socioeconomic inner-city school.

We have a large population of learning challenged children in our school who need a special approach to learning.

"Putting Science In Motion", will give the children who are learning challenged a chance to interact, engage, and become better learners of science through dance and movement. For example, we are exploring how living things change and grow. I would like the children to examine the life cycles of plants and animals and create dances to reflect their understanding of these concepts. We are also studying the Earth, Sun and Moon. I would like the children to develop a deeper understanding of our world and related concepts through movement.

Your help will make it possible for the children to continue a rich tradition (working with fabulous people from Battery Dance Co.) while enabling them to learn in a new and exciting way.
