Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

This is the first year our school is using digital cameras for yearbook. In the past the students used film and developed the film for the hard bound yearbook. This year we are using digital cameras, but my class of 34 students only has one digital camera at this time.

34 students are now in my advanced computers/yearbook class. The students are working on the yearbook with only one digital camera, because in the past years the other teacher taught yearbook with film developing photography. We really need a digital camera and a way to raise funds for our class. This is the perfect solution.

I am an experience teacher with green screen technology and the use of visual effects. The students will not only use the camera for the yearbook, but also for student activity fund raising like selling photos of the students at different places and time. There will be old fashioned photos, photos with famous people and red carpet photos at our end of the year dance.

These are students who have applied and been accepted into this class based on interest, honesty and aptitude for photography and graphic design. Please help these students produce real quality work in our full color, hard bound yearbook with the photos taken by the students in our middle school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
