My students are working on a hovercraft project and needed to create an inlet for a blower motor. As they were working, they asked to modify their print. In their 3rd iteration they used the Dremel to fine tune the keyway and button clasp hole. \r\n We pulled out the Dremel and they were able to save approximately 5 hours by not having to reprint their work. not to mention the savings in materials for our classroom. The two attachment kits gave them plenty of tool choices and allowed them to customize and clean the part as needed. \r\n Now students will begin testing the skirt materials and choosing the velocity needed to create enough lift to cause movement. The hovercraft is a large part of our engineering course this semester.","fullyFundedDate":1755732264065,"projectUrl":"project/power-tools-for-precision-craftsmanship/9284241/","projectTitle":"Power Tools for Precision Craftsmanship","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Piffero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6949093_orig.jpg?crop=489,489,x470,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1573257289819","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6949093"},{"teacherId":6949093,"projectId":9110599,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing materials for our Balsa Bridge Project. Ensuring that all moving parts have proper lubrication to move smoothly means better quality prints for my students. The air blower has been incredibly helpful for clearing out dust and debris from the various machines, and the filament driers have ensured the integrity of printing materials.\r\n\r\nThis project has been critical to the success of my students this year, and it has enabled them to have a lot of great opportunity to 3D print their creations with well maintained machines.
