Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Picture me in Vegas! I teach first grade in a low economic Title 1 school. I have been a teacher for one year and have limited resources.

Picture me in Vegas! Many of my students can not read of speak English. I have noticed that a picture does speak a thousand words. I am in need of a camera to take pictures of students doing special tasks in school, to use with students on the computers, and send home pictures of their child learning in school to parents. Many parents have no pictures of their child for "student of the week" or to share when we do our unit on "I am special". I want each child to feel special, so please "Picture us in Vegas" with a camera. Thank you.

If you are picturing me in Vegas, I am watching my students do remarkable achievements in school. I would like to capture these moments with pictures so they feel empowered with their achievements. I would also like to give each student a portfolio of their work in first grade at the end of the year on a CD. I would need a camera at all times in the classroom to catch these moments. Pictures are truly worth a thousand words.

Your help will make it possible for my students to see who they really are in pictures. These pictures might be the only pictures my students will have in early primary. I need your help to make a difference in many students lives, so please picture our first grade in Vegas.
