I am a high school counselor working in a school that serves a lot of "underprivileged" students. We have a large minority population and over 50% of our students are on free and/or reduced lunch due to family circumstances.

Our school is in the process of creating a program (Mustang Success Academy) to help students transition from high school to middle school with more success. As part of this program, we are teaching students good study habits and organization. Since some of our students will not be able to buy the supplies needed and thus, we are requesting help from others. We are in need of three ring binders, pens and pencils, filler paper, etc. The supplies will be donated to our students that do not have the funds to purchase their own. This donation will allow them to start their high school career off on a good note with the proper school supplies and the tools needed to be organized and successful...thank you for your consideration!

The Mustang Success Academy is a unique opportunity for students to learn to utilize their potential and take advantage of resources available at school, in order to become positive, productive and contributing members of our community. We are currently in need of basic school supplies for 50 students. We will be serving anywhere from 100-300 students but believe that there will a large number that will not be able to afford their own supplies and thus we would like to have them on hand to pass out to those students in need. Our mission is that "Students will know how to achieve academic success within the high school community."

With your help in donating the basic school supplies (three ring binders, pens, pencils, spiral notebooks, filler paper) that so many of our students can't afford, you will be contributing to the overall success of the students in our high school and our community. Without you these students will not have much of a chance in tasting true academic success.
