I am a fifth grade Read 180 teacher at a Title I school in South Carolina. My students' abilities are all different levels. All of my students are below grade level.

Kids love games! Many students love games especially when they get to play them in the classroom. I need your help to get a set of reading comprehension and vocabulary board games for my students to play as well as learn in the classroom.

The board games I have found focus on many reading comprehension skills and vocabulary skills that students have been learning throughout their education. These skills include main idea, inferencing, cause and effect, as well as synonyms and antonyms. My students are several grade levels below where they should be. My students struggle each day to read and write. These games will make reading fun for them, where normally it is a frustration. Board games are a great way to help students with practicing the skills that the games support.

This project is important because it will provide a fun and exciting way for my students to learn. These games will allow me to pull different groups based on their abilities and play a game with them. I can choose a game that focuses on a skill that each group needs help practicing. You can help me make reading comprehension fun for my struggling readers!
