My students are eager to become scientists and love the fact that we are able to work in a real science lab.
My classes provide a great mix of personalities and they all bring great viewpoints to the lessons and activities.
They are working hard towards becoming more like scientists including documenting their work and investigating new ideas. They LOVE hands-on activities and investigations that take them out of the classroom. My students come from varied backgrounds. Because they are all different, they are able to bring unique perspectives to support class discussion. My students are eager for a great semester with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) in my classroom!
My Project
Through the materials requested, students will be able to design and launch their own rocket learning about air pressure, force and motion from first hand experience. Students will use the parachutes to help demonstrate the force for air resistance on their rocket. Students will also use the scissors and notebooking supplies in the classroom. I need to vary my in-class instruction with notebooking which also teaches students how to record their data and take notes in creative ways that help in long term memory of the concepts taught.
Even though I have some of the coolest students around, they still need your help!
With the materials you help provide, students will become more engaged in the lessons. This includes in-class assignments such as creating foldables and recording data to lab investigations and experiments. Thank you for making science "come alive" for my students.
