Communicating Math With A Digital Camera

I teach high school math students and I am the adviser to a math club at our high school to promote an appreciation and understanding of how math can be used outside the classroom.

Many students fear math. Having fun with math activities and being successful can help improve students' attitudes and experiences in using math.

A digital camera can capture students in math activities such as The Math Scavenger Hunt. These photos will be displayed in the Math Showcase as an inspiration for others to improve their math skills. The photos will be taken by students and posted on our math website and in our quarterly math newsletter.

You will make it possible for students of all math abilities to excel in math and be recognized for trying math problem-solving outside the traditional math classroom setting using a digital camera.
