My students need CDs to listen to while they learn and work. My classroom is all about reading styles and many of my children learn best while they listen to music.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach second grade in an inclusion classroom. In addition to these students with special needs I also have many ENL students. I need to reach all the students in my classroom and music is the best way to involve all students. Music is the common denominator in a great classroom equation.
Successful classroom use soft music as a learning tool. I have requested many different styles of music and many different types of instrumental music that will empower my students to learn through chants, rhymes, and sing/song rhythmic patterns.
Students can repeat back what they hear repeatedly. My students are able to jump rope to chants, recall and sing songs, and learn best through repeated activities. I know that my students will learn a great deal more after hearing the songs repeated on a daily basis.
