Wiggle, Wobble, Work! Flexible Seating for Focused 5th Graders

Help me give my students wobble stools that will provide my active 5th graders with flexible seating that allows for gentle movement, helping them channel their energy, improve focus, and stay engaged during daily lessons.

My Project

Welcome to 5th grade! My classroom is a vibrant, hard-working group of students who are eager to learn and grow every day. Fifth grade is a big transition year as students build independence, tackle complex math and science concepts, and prepare for middle school. They bring so much curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm to our classroom community!

Learning requires focus, but for many 5th graders, sitting still in a traditional, rigid plastic chair for hours at a time is a major barrier to staying engaged.

Wobble stools provide flexible seating that allows for natural, subtle movement while working. This "active sitting" helps students burn off excess energy, improve core posture, and stay focused during independent reading, small-group math, and hands-on science activities.

By adding a set of wobble stools to our learning stations, my students will have the power to choose a seating option that best fits their sensory and learning needs. Instead of spending energy trying to sit perfectly still, they can channel that energy directly into their classwork. Your support will help transform our classroom into a comfortable, student-centered environment where every child has the tools they need to succeed!
