My Project

The Create, Learn, and Grow project will provide students with engaging, hands-on learning opportunities in the media center. Grant funds will be used to purchase educational manipulatives, puzzles, drawing and creative activities, STEM projects, and critical-thinking games for students to use in learning centers.

After students have completed their media center lesson and selected their library books, they will have the opportunity to participate in these centers.

The activities will encourage students to create, communicate, collaborate, problem-solve, and think critically while making productive use of the remaining class time.

Students learn in many different ways, and hands-on activities provide opportunities for them to apply skills beyond traditional classroom instruction. The Create, Learn, and Grow centers will give students a place to explore ideas, work with their peers, and learn through play and discovery.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
