My Project

Our school is home to more than 1,700 students who speak over 33 languages and represent countries and cultures from around the world. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, creating a unique opportunity for students to learn from one another and celebrate the experiences that make each person who they are. It is important that every student sees their culture represented and knows they are welcomed, valued, and respected. We want every student and their families to feel a strong sense of belonging and know that their background is an important part of our school community.

This project will celebrate our global school community by displaying country flags that represent the many nations and cultures connected to our students.

The flags will create opportunities for international students to proudly share their countries, languages, traditions, history, music, food, and customs with their American classmates. These cultural exchanges can help students build understanding, break down stereotypes, develop meaningful relationships, and appreciate perspectives beyond their own. By making our diverse cultures visible throughout the school, we hope to create an environment where students feel seen, welcomed, valued, and empowered to learn from one another. Our goal is to show every student that their culture matters and that there is a place for everyone in our school community.
