Help me give my students winter essentials to provide to people experiencing homelessness in the community.

My Project

Our students are learning that service is more than an idea—it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in another person's life. Through this project, students will practice empathy, generosity, teamwork, organization, and community responsibility.

Students will assemble individual Warmth Kits containing lotion, tissue, pair of gloves, a warm hat, and thick socks.

Students will also include an encouraging note card in the kit. Once the kits are complete, the kits will be for distribution through an appropriate local shelter, outreach organization, or community partner.

Many people experiencing homelessness have limited access to basic winter clothing. By providing warm socks, gloves, and hats, we can meet an immediate need while helping our students understand the importance of caring for vulnerable members of our community.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
