My Project

Our soccer project will give students a fun and active way to exercise, play, and build teamwork during their lunch break. Students at our school typically have PE only once during their high school experience, making it important to provide additional opportunities for fitness and physical activity throughout the remaining years. Soccer is extremely popular with our students, and many already enjoy playing during lunch. We have a large filled conveniently located outside the cafeteria, but we do not have enough soccer balls for all students who want to participate. Providing additional soccer balls will allow more students to get involved, stay active, and enjoy a healthy break from academics

The best part of this project is the opportunity to bring a diverse group of students together to create positive relationships through play.

It is exciting to see students standing around the field watching their classmates play and hoping for an opportunity to join. With enough doccer balls more students can participate instead of waiting on the sidelines. Students from different backgrounds, grade levels, and friend groups can come together, communicate, practice teamwork, and build friendships. This project will turn lunch into more than just a break. It will become a time for movement, connection, inclusion and fun.
