My Project

Our students want to learn literacy skills to help them read and succeed in their lives. Our classes can only implement literacy skills during small group with fidelity at this time because of the noise level during whole-group instruction. In class, the literacy bundle will provide the opportunity for the kids to play in the classroom comfortably. This helps them with the basic idea of letters and their sounds, and also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. Headphones are great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable, and then plug into learning about electronics. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build confidence and to be able to practice socialization. First and foremost, it will give all students confidence and allow them to control the volume while they use headphones to block out other noises and continue to practice without other distractions. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom but also at home.
