This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to create a classroom environment where my students feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to explore new ideas.

I teach at a Tier 1 school, where resources and classroom budgets are limited.

While my students come to school ready and excited to learn, we do not always have access to the materials and classroom resources needed to create the engaging learning environment they deserve. Your support can help bridge that gap and provide my students with opportunities and resources that might otherwise be out of reach.

This project will help transform our reading corner into a warm and inviting space where students can enjoy books, practice literacy skills, work independently, and share their learning with classmates. A lovely rug for us to gather on sets the stage for this reading space. Comfortable, student-friendly furniture will give them a special place to sit, read, think, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Bean bag chairs, stools, and floor cushions will make this dream a reality. In addition to furniture, this project includes materials that will help me create engaging instructional resources for my students. These supplies will allow me to design hands-on activities, learning games, visual supports, task cards, and reusable resources that make lessons more interactive, meaningful, and accessible for young learners.

For elementary students, learning happens best when they can see, touch, create, explore, and feel comfortable in their environment. Having the right resources can make a tremendous difference in their engagement, confidence, and excitement about learning.

You are helping create a welcoming and equitable learning environment where every child has a place to read, create, discover, and grow.
