My Project

My students are hardworking, unique learners who thrive when they have opportunities to learn through hands-on, meaningful experiences. In our classroom, learning goes beyond academics. We focus on building the practical skills students need to become more confident and independent in their everyday lives.

The items in this project will give my students opportunities to practice essential daily living skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, and cleaning.

Instead of only talking about these skills, students will be able to practice them using real materials in a supportive classroom environment. These hands-on experiences will help students learn routines, follow directions, solve problems, and become more comfortable completing everyday tasks independently.

My goal is to create a classroom where students can safely learn and practice skills that will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Whether they are preparing a simple meal, learning how to properly clean an area, or developing a personal hygiene routine, each experience is another step toward greater independence.

What makes my students special is their determination and the pride they feel when they master something new. With the right tools, they can build confidence, increase their independence, and develop practical skills they can carry with them at school, at home, and into adulthood.
