SPARCS Students Sparkle Into Their Future !

Help me give my students bean bags and a rug along with other selected items to create a calm and inviting environment for our SPARCS group counseling sessions, designed to support adolescents experiencing chronic stress.

My Project

As the dedicated SPARCS (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress} facilitator at our high school, my primary focus is to facilitate their learning within an atmosphere that is both exceptionally safe and caring. Our carefully curated list of items include comfortable seating, area rugs, and subtle ambient lighting elements like lava lamps, that are integral to creating a therapeutic setting in our comprehensive 16-week semester-long sessions.

The provision of a thoughtfully appointed space will significantly enhance my ability to concentrate on instructional delivery, empowering students to develop critical emotional intelligence and coping strategies.

Each contribution, regardless of size, will be instrumental in our mission to foster the social and emotional development of our students as they progress through their high school years, ensuring they are well-prepared for future challenges.
