My Project

As a school counselor, I want every child who enters my counseling office to feel safe, welcomed, and comfortable. Many of our students come to counseling to talk about big feelings, friendships, family changes, worries, conflict, or challenges they are experiencing at school. Having a small, comfortable couch designed for children would help create a warm and inviting space where students can relax and feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.

Our counseling space is a place where children learn important social-emotional skills, practice coping strategies, work through problems, and build confidence.

A child-sized vinyl couch would provide a comfortable and durable place for individual and small-group counseling sessions. The vinyl material would also make the couch easy to clean and maintain, which is especially important in an elementary school setting.

This couch would be more than just a piece of furniture. It would help create a calming environment where children know they have a safe place to be heard. Whether a student needs to talk through a difficult morning, practice calming strategies, celebrate a success, or simply have a trusted adult listen, this couch would help make our counseling space feel more welcoming and supportive.

With the help of generous donors, we can create a cozy counseling corner where students can feel comfortable, connected, and ready to grow. Thank you for helping us provide our students with a space where their feelings matter, and they know they are cared for.
