My Project

I am fortunate enough to spend my days with elementary-aged students.

Being a Title I social and emotional learning teacher means that I teach every child in our building, as well as develop programming that promotes student success, both academically and socially!

In total, I teach social/emotional learning to around 600 students K-5. Approximately 3/4 of my students experience poverty, thus all students are given free breakfast and lunch daily via federal funding. Also, around 50% of my students speak English as a second language.

I am requesting Smarties Candy Rolls to encourage good behavior choices at our school!

I plan to use these candies to reward our students for demonstrating and practicing wise behavior decisions throughout the entire school building. Students will have the opportunity to earn these Smarties Candies from our "Good Behavior" School Store!
