My Project

In my EC classroom at Prospect Elementary, I have the privilege of working with students in kindergarten through third grade who have a variety of learning needs. My students are hardworking, resilient, and incredibly special because they continue to grow and persevere even when learning feels challenging. They benefit greatly from small-group instruction, individualized support, hands-on activities, and a classroom environment designed to meet their unique needs.

This kidney-shaped table and eight chairs will give my students a dedicated space where focused learning can happen every day.

The kidney table will allow me to sit alongside students during reading, math, writing, and intervention lessons so I can provide immediate feedback, model skills, and give individualized support. The eight chairs will allow students to comfortably participate in small-group lessons, collaborate with peers, and engage in hands-on learning activities. Having a consistent learning space will also help students stay focused, organized, and engaged.

My goal for this project is to create a welcoming and purposeful space where my students can build academic skills, confidence, independence, and a love of learning. This table will become a place where students practice new skills, work through challenges, celebrate their progress, and know that they have a place where they belong. Your donation will help me create a classroom environment where every student has a seat at the table and an opportunity to succeed.
