My Project

It's my first year at my school, and my classroom does not have books! In my experience, the best way to get students reading is by providing them with books that are fun, engaging, and responsive to their interests. I've also included stuffed animals for them to read to. My students are English language learners and the more kids read, the more they words, grammar, and fluency they gain. The more they read, the more they can access the content of their regular classes. Reading is a foundational skill for school and beyond.
